Trigun Episode 1: The Six Billion Double Dollar Man

The episode opens up with a couple of guys talking in a bar. They are discussing the rumors about how Vash the Stampede showed up in Dankin town and destroyed everything, and how messing with Vash is a death wish. (Unbeknownst to them, Vash is sitting at the bar right behind them drinking whiskey.)The bartender goes outside to take out the trash and panics. The two guys in the bar see this and draw their guns.
Suddenly the entire top half of the building gets blown off. The two men scatter and the remains of the building are riddled in bullets by a group of men outside. Finally, they stop. As the smoke clears, Vash is still sitting at the bar finishing his drink. (He was shielded by a giant metal saloon sign.) Vash stands up and draws his gun to fire.
It then cuts to Milly and Meryl walking into Lob's Diner. They ask about Vash the Stampede. The Bartender tells them what he knows, that he's 12 feet tall with a huge weapon and a mohawk.
Then in Dankin town, a man named Ruth Loose shows up and asks about Vash. Everyone there is still getting repairing all the damage. The Sheriff says that through he didn't see Vash himself, he was told he was a short-legged giant with an earring. Ruth thanks him and takes off looking for Vash.
Meanwhile, Descartes and his henchmen are searching for Vash. When he fired his gun there were no bullets in it, so he took off while they chased after him. One minion walks around a corner and Vash pops out of the sand and knocks him out. While he's stealing the unconscious man's bullets however, another minion pops up from behind a rock to shoot him. Vash hits him as well, but then a bunch more men show up.
