Trigun Episode 20: Flying Ship

Jacqueline the Typhoon (A real typhoon) has come to New Oregon. Some Thomas' crash into Millie and Meryl's room, so they go to Vash's room to see if they can stay with him. They find a note saying, "Don't look for me -Vash" Meryl is pissed that Vash would try to go out in this kind of weather. Millie says not to worry, because she planted a tracking device on him that morning. But when they try to trace it, they find that its stuck to Kuroneko (the black cat), who was hiding under the bed. We see a flashback of Knives and Vash as kids, just after crashing on the planet. Knives offers to help Vash up, but Vash is pissed because Knives caused everyone's deaths. As an insult, he says Knives isn't human. Knives hits him and says of course he isn't human. (It would have been an insult to Vash, since he likes to think of himself as human.) Knives then goes on to tell Vash that he will kill all of the imperfect humans, so that only the two of them will be left.
