Trigun Episode 21: Out of Time

Legato is telling Knives the next part of his plan for Vash. Meanwhile, in Seeds City Wolfwood decides to handle the intruders his own way. He gives Vash a warning however. They aren't dealing with normal people. If he tries to handle them the same way he's handled others in the past, he'll be killed. Vash and Brad go off to take out all the other puppets, meanwhile Wolfwood figures out that the intruder is probably heading for the plant (where the city's energy comes from.) He finds Grey the Nine-lives there. Wolfwood's machinegun don't have any effect, so he flips his cross over and shoots a cannon out the top end. Meanwhile, Sensei reports to Brad and Vash that someone is heading for the 2nd plant. Vash decides to take a shortcut through the floor using his new arm (which is a lot more powerful than the last one.) Once there however, he sees the bodies of a bunch of people... and begins to name them all (Varre, Jones, Rumina, Farina) and starts crying. He doesn't cry long however, because Hoppered the Gauntlet shows up to fight him. Vash demands to know why he killed the people. Hoppered simply replies, "Because you are Vash the Stampede." They fight, and eventually Hoppered is able to damage the plant. Meanwhile, Wolfwood was able to take out Grey, but he also damaged the other plant in the process.
